Since December 2001 we have had a family member deployed in Afghanistan or Iraq every year except 2005. Our soldiers are safely back in the USA (yeah!) . . . and life goes on.

So good to hear Austin is back on US soil! YEAH!!! Hope you get to hold him SOON! ~warm sunshine hugzzz~
What great news for you! Now we pray they get his knee all fixed up. Tell Austin "Welcome HOME" from us please. And you have a wonderful weekend.
OMG! How wonderful! I agree with Debbi, tell him Thank You and Welcome Home!
You keep pretty good secrets! Not even telling us he was coming to home!!!
I'm sure it'll be a bittersweet homecoming from his perspective, but at least it's a homecoming.

Yay!!! Great news that he's home...not so good that he has to have knee surgery. Hopefully it will all go well and he'll be home recuperating in time for the holidays. Congrats!!!
Jan read my mind. That has to be hard on Austin, though it's good to hear that he's out of harm's way. Give him a big hug for me!
