Hopefully our #1 son is on his way out of Iraq! We haven't heard anything yet. I read what Teflon Don (Acute Politics) experienced in his journey home and it could be 3-4 days of waiting and traveling. Katie will be here tomorrow and that'll make the wait easier. I can only imagine how thrilled she is to be seeing her husband again after almost 10 MONTHS!
Still no word from Austin.
I've been weepy almost all day. There's relief that I'll see my oldest son in a matter of days and there's fear of what my youngest son is enduring. Today I received a link to 100s of photos of Austin's company --- didn't see him at all. None of the soldiers looked sad or miserable in the photos. I'm sad and miserable.

I am glad to hear that the eldest is coming home!
Sorry you are sad about Austin!
1 down for R&R and one to go YES!! I found a "lucky penny" today...heads up even! I found it right after i bought a "deal or no deal" scratch ticket for my friend and I (only my 2nd time ever buying a scratch ticket!) and I won $20! It's the 2nd "lucky penny" in the past 3 days or so, so maybe we'll hear from him! I'm crossing my fingers!
In all of the pictures of my brother's unit they look either like they are having fun or contemplating the problems of the world.
Yes, the journey is at least 3 days; my brother's flights always left in the middle of his night and by the time he got home he was beat, but so glad to be here!
Hug him tight and smile alot! Stay up late and laugh alot. I'm glad you're back.
:D
Hello Army Mom Times Three...I'm an Army and Air Force mom who went through my baby boy's deployment last year. I feel for you having two deployed at the same time. I've had them on completely opposite sides of the world before, but not both deployed to a war zone at the same time. Take care and give that boy of yours a squeeze for me when you see him..... :)
Have a bottle of KJ on ice and all will be well. He will be here before you know it!
Be strong. Luv ya!
America thanks you for what you suffer for our safety. Hugs......
